hi friends of the tumblr world! it’s favor time! two of my best friends are part of the YEAH! wedding contest and i would appreciate more than anything if you could take a minute of your time and vote for them. melanie & kelcey are hoping to win the contest and get married this august! if not, they will be waiting to plan their wedding in 2015, since kelcey will be away on tour starting later this year! 

here’s a little bit more about their story:

Melanie and Kelcey met on none other than myspace.com — You can read the full story here! Kelcey is a full time touring musician with his band, and Melanie has worked in the marketing department at Bravo for 5 years! Since meeting in the winter of 2008, these two have been inseparable — aside from Kelcey’s travel. Yet they find a way to make the distance work, relying on frequent flyer miles, Skype, and FaceTime to keep the magic alive. When they are together in Los Angeles, they enjoy hikes at Griffith Park, movie hopping, and inviting friends over for Kelcey’s AMAZING guacamole. Their love radiates, and makes everyone around them happy. Mel and Kelcey, aka Melcey, got engaged this past September: Kelcey surprised Mel with a trip to NYC to see Radiohead, and popped the question the next day at their favorite restaurant, The Little Owl. She was super surprised, and of course, so happy to say yes to spending the rest of her life with her best friend. Right now their plan is to wait until 2015 to get married because Kelcey is recording an album, which will take at least another two years to tour and promote. If chosen, Kelcey & Mel would be able to get married THIS YEAR, and that would be absolutely wonderful. Vote for Melcey!!
